Salt Beef is one of Hensons signature products – and certainly the oldest, as we were selling it as far back as the 19th Century when J L Henson first set up stall in Smithfield Market.

Hensons' Heritage

The original Mr J.L. Henson with his family and servants at his vast villa in Notting Hill. (The current Mr Henson is not as favourably disposed!).

Hensons Famous Salt Beef is now available from trade stockists across the country. You can order a case of joints directly from Hensons or for single joints for those who’d like to cook it and enjoy with the family at home then Keevil and Keevil, another very long established Smithfield butcher, has an online shop selling Hensons Famous Salt Beef and a whole range of other top quality butcher meats.
