Unfortunately we are still experiencing significant shortages in the supply of French goat’s cheese and inevitably this is leading to increased prices on import. We understand the importance of stable cost prices but we currently have no control over prices. We incurred an increase a the beginning of this year, and there will be another one, of approximately 50p a kilo on 17th February.
We hope that there will be a recovery in the market this spring, once the resting season for goats is over.
There is more information on the background to the current shortage at the BBC website.
